Everyone has one: the screenshot of a seed phrase from 2021, the photo of a card you took to type the number later, the passport you snapped for a hotel. They sit between your beach photos, and if iCloud Photos is on, they sit on Apple's servers too.
Let Vaulteo look for you
The check reads your latest 3,000 photos in two passes, on the phone:
- A fast pass reads the text, spots documents and barcodes, and flags screenshots.
- A careful pass, only on photos that look risky, reads the text again in detail, in any language.
It flags a photo only on hard evidence:
| What it finds | The evidence |
|---|---|
| Seed phrase | 12 or more recovery words in a row |
| Card number | A number that passes the Luhn check |
| Passport or ID | A machine-readable zone, or ID words in English, French, Romanian, German, Spanish or Italian |
| Bank details | An IBAN that passes its own check digits |
| Codes | Backup code lists, 2FA setup QR codes |
| Passwords | A line that starts with "password:" |
Weak signs land in Maybe, unticked.
Move what it finds
Tick the photos you want gone from Photos and tap Move. Vaulteo seals each original in your open vault first. Then it asks iOS to delete them, and iOS shows its own prompt so you confirm.
iOS keeps deleted photos in Recently Deleted for 30 days. Open it and delete them there too.
Run it again after a trip
Every border crossing, hotel check-in and car rental adds new ID photos. Run the check when you get home.
